AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
We have carried out awareness campaigns on pertinent issues affecting the young people and community at large. Our aim has been to motivate positive behavioral change amongst the youth since their behavior is morally decaying. The campaigns are done by organizing sports competition activities and entertainment for the youths to showcase their talents. These are thereafter used as tools to sensitize the community on the pertinent issues.

We invite speakers who encourage best practices for objective living and make the community understand the dangers of the pertinent issues. Trophies and certificates are thereafter awarded to the best groups in the different activities so as to boost their morale. The following are the dates and themes of the campaigns that we have carried out:

REHABILITATION PROJECT
We have rehabilitated different playing grounds in our community that were being used as dumping sites. The playing grounds are now being used with the community for different activities.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION and BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT
This has been a major project as we have managed to implement a number of activities that improve our environment. We initiated a programmed known as Adopt A Tree where the group members each planted trees and nurtured them. We work together with Ministry Of Youth affairs and sports in their Kazi Kwa Vijana Trees for Jobs project where we have managed to plant trees in learning institutions in Makadara Constituency, we have planted more than 5000 trees that we are currently nurturing.

We carry out frequent clean ups and opening up of blocked trenches in our community that were leading to outbreak of diseases. Our beautification has been done at different levels where we have beautified our environment by planting of flowers. We went ahead to initiate a project know as ‘Rembesha Mtaa’ meaning beautify our area where we painted blocks/houses in Jericho, this project created employment to 20 young people on a daily basis. The blocks were beautified returning their original beautiful colors.
