WELCOME
The Family Community Based
Organization Kenya formally Family Rock Youth Group
was registered under the ministry of gender, sports, culture
and social services as a self help group on 10th August 2006,
It has been upgraded and registered under the same Ministry
as a Community Based Organization on 12th May 2010. We are
located in Jericho one of the residential estates in Nairobi
eastlands, Makadara Constituency, Harambee Ward.
Currently we have 30 bonafide members but we are targeting
100 youths. This has made us to recruit 10 out of school youths
whom at the moment we are mentoring and are involving them
in our different organizations activities and projects that
we run through the organizations Resource Centre, ‘The
Family Resource Centre’.

The Family Resource
Centre
The Resource Centre’s focus areas are
classified under the following departments:
- Business Development Department
- Health Department
- Education and Training Department
- Sports, Culture and Talent Department
- Environment Department
- Research Department
- Public Relations Department
- Welfare and Security Department
The Family Community Departments
Each department has a departmental head who
work and is assisted with a team of five people. The organization
derives its name from the inspiration that has been received
from one other regardless of the ongoing challenges, the love
and togetherness is what made us include ‘Family’
in our name(s).
